Enriching the lives of children through the art and love of reading and storytelling.
Our Mission
The StoryTime Guild is dedicated to increasing literacy and a love of reading by helping children discover the magic found in the pages of a good book. We do this by placing readers or storytellers in Southeast Michigan classrooms, and by donating new books to school libraries and classrooms.

January 16, 2025: ZOOM Talk by author/illustrator MATT FAULKNER and his wife and author KRISTEN REMENAR
Wow! STG is so lucky to get this dynamic-duo of both children’s and adult literature to speak to us via ZOOM from their home in the “lower right hand corner of MI”. MATT FAULKNER has written and/or illustrated over 40 books. He also taught at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. KRISTEN REMENAR is a national speaker on literacy, a librarian, author of two children’s books both illustrated by Matt, and one “quirky” adult book. Her website kristenremenar.com has free ideas for sharing great picture books and could be a real resource for some of our storytellers. To learn more about Matt, visit his website mattfaulkner.com. Plan to attend in the comfort of your home!

We’re offering a different style of programming at a new venue. The STG is pairing up with the Sterling Heights Public Library’s adult programming to offer a new and exciting presentation by ANNA MARCK, professional author, singer and actress. Many of you will remember Anna from the outstanding presentation that she did for us two years ago: “Women of the Watch, Keepers of the Light.” She’s delightful - and immensely talented! Anna writes: “This 45-minute show will leave you inspired by the legacy of women activists in Michigan, and hopeful about building a better world right in your own backyard.” What a great way to celebrate Women’s History Month! You won’t want to miss this one! Hope to see you at the Sterling Heights Public Library, 40255 Dodge Park Rd.
